I don`t usually sit at the
keyboard at approaching midnight but I make an exception having just watched
Question Time on BBC TV where Kenneth Clarke was the senior politician on the
panel. The same K. Clarke who as Secretary of State for Justice is soon to
pronounce on his plans for the country`s magistrates` courts. Not one question
on this or any other matter affecting “justice” was asked when of course as the
programme is recorded an hour before kick off and the audience knows who are
appearing indicates just how little interest real people have in this subject.
Is that good or bad?
